Ukash (now Paysafecard as part of the Skrill Group) is a mid-tier alternative payments business. Its core offering allows consumers to pay for goods over the internet with cash..

With a proven service offering, but needing to scale quickly, international expansion was selected as the company’s growth strategy.

Its challenge was to select those countries offering the biggest and most rapid return on investment while optimising its market entry process.

The initial need was solved by the construction of a global market evaluation framework, using weighted factors to show the benefits and barriers to every country.

This was fuelled with relevant market insight; this framework output a prioritised list of countries, organised by likely ROI. In parallel, the existing fragmented process for market entry was rationalised to ensure consistency and speed.
