A creative digital all-rounder, Jarrod has nearly 20 years of experience forming, launching, managing and selling nascent technologies, across mobile, e-commerce, digital media, SaaS and business intelligence.
From building the first intranet for one of the world’s biggest companies to selling unproven distributed e-commerce solutions into globally renowned brands; Jarrod is as happy working with a start-up as he is a multinational corporation, thriving on ‘making it happen’, right at the beginning, and, as it evolves.
Jarrod is a skilled project, people and account manager with a real desire to understand customer requirements and how they can be met by digital technologies. He is technically savvy, business astute and a great communicator. A naturally gifted door-opener, relationship builder, manager and business-minded strategist, he succeeds in getting to know what makes a business and its people work, and how they can use technology better.
Key achievements include:
Managed the conversion of every single piece of Mars’ information (including Brand Histories pet food, confectionery and main meal recipes) from legacy data systems to their first intranet (in the mid 90’s)
Launched AOL Mobile then managed it and other premium services as revenue-generating channels
Gave sales support, launched and managed 3UK’s Mobile Music Service (which was the first to be recognised by the Official Chart Company) which led to the taking over of their on line service and to 4x revenue increase for EU for Groove Mobile (and increased efficiencies for 3UK)
Sold and managed ‘distributed’ eCommerce solutions into globally recognised brands before eCommerce was trusted
